Propane

My bus runs off propane. It is an 85 gmc with a new 366 v8 long block that is carburated. We have been across the canada and through many of the northern states with it. Across ferries (gorgia straight was the longest crossing at 4 plus hours) and through many tunnels. Never had a problem. The tank ...

Well, it's been across the country once and a few road trips here and there. So far about 15,000 km's. I look forward to getting it back on the road next summer. I hope to go out east for July. However the time is nice as I don't think these creations are ever done. I keep ticking off more projects ...

That's a great looking rig. Do you have any recent photo's or is that them on your site? Love to see it packed up and ready for the road. What an interesting rig!

I have a 1.9 lpm japsco pump, and I use house shower fixtures in my bus. It works great. The pressure in a house is less than an rv, so it should not be an issue, unless you have a very high pressure system.

Yep they do. They're called brake buddy's (or other brands). http://www.brakebuddy.com/ Or the trailers may have brake with a brake controller like this one: http://www.dexteraxle.com/predator_dx2_brake_controller However I doubt everyone is spending $1000 on additional braking components. -Richard

yeah, I think a 20' aluminum insulated container for the price would be a great start. It would be sqaure (easier carpentry), strong and a strong foundation. Hmmmm, very interesting.

very exciting. Sounds like you have some nice ingredients. I love those old gmc coaches. Does yours have the raised hump with the window? How do you find getting parts for them? I see a couple on ebay right now. they're pretty rough but have nice bones. I'd love some more space to build another one....

Thanks for the input dennis. How much power do these units use while running? I took a quick peek at them, however it was not very clear. I would think a small unit like this one would be more efficient than a large one. I was looking at the trace c40, but at this time I don't see a large solar bank...

shipping

Well, couldn't you cut the body above the floor level on a full size schoolbus and transplant one on. bolt it in place and there you go. You could build boxes hung from the underside of the floor like any other skoolie conversion. This could be hidden by the stock skirting on the vehicle. If you cut...

If? That's very dissapointing. I know it has been a long project, but you'll get her on the road one day. Have faith in yourself!

That's terrifying! Most people can barely handle a trailer

And I am sure that not everyone pays attention to the amount of braking power that train would take to stop.

Good luck. Be sure to have a good idea of what you want it to look like, as it makes the process much smoother!
