Re: Crown water pump

Have not had much time to work on it. Drained the coolant and took off the two small hoses that hook onto the lower big radiator hose to drain the system. The short rubber connector that hooks the pump and the pipe that goes to the radiator is sure stiff in this cold weather we have been having here...

Crown water pump

Howdy folks. Started my Crown this morning and the water pump is leaking!!! It is a 1968 model with the Cummins 220 engine in it. The belt that drives the cooling fan has been hitting the nose cone of the water pump just behind the pulley and has wore a hole in it. I think it is the Cummins 743 NHH ...

Re: Scenicruiser #805

I also loved the looks of them Scenic Cruisers, but was afraid of how complex the electric and air systems on them. Plus the tranny and engine parts availability if broke down on the road.

Re: MrSharkey.com

Just found this forum today. Figured I would try my old name and password which was on Sharkeys forum. Knew Sharkey fairly well as we sold and traded parts years ago. Still living in my Crown bus down here by San Diego (San Marcos) Ca. Too bad he is off line. Hope he is doing OK.

To keep the breakers, which are mounted on a door flexible, I ran several hot wires to the buss bar. The power comes from 6 deep cycle golf cart batterys. 6 volt batterys wired for 12 volt. The bus bar in the last photo is a common ground direct from the battery pack. The feed from the battery to th...

I ran a ground wire along with every 12 volt "hot" wire. It all goes to the main breaker panel as shown below. Never had a problem yet!!! Remember the ground (-) is just like the neutral in a 120 volt AC system The breakers I use for 12 volts is from a boat. http://img.photobucket.com/albu...

I contacted the eBay seller. He is the same guy that built them in San Marcos. I remember when he showed me the inside of one of them. He had a hot tub in one of them!!! Here is a pic of one of the other busses built there. The guy had a clear plexi-glass divider between the driver and the rest of t...

I am not sure if I posted these pics before. Its a early 50's GMC. It had a small 6V-53 series detroit in it. It was broke down for a week or so down the road from me. The aluminum casting on the radiator for the water hose was corroded and was leaking. I think the guy lived in Temecula, CA. If you ...
