Thats the main reason I'm building a motorhome on a 5 ton truck...gotta have room for the hounddogs. Dogs love truc...

non rv windows

glass
I heed your advice, you are correct, regular glass is off the list and safety glass is in. My original plan was to use rv type glass and tig weld up some frames that were top hung ,similar to marine type frames. Back to the drawing board. Thanks

windows
I guess that is the issue, whether or not the non rv type window would take road use. I just spoke with a fellow truck friend, he said "oh no the windows would all crack and fall out", but as Dburt pointed out what of all the old house trucks with the funky residential glass in them. what ...

installing non rv type windows in a house truck
Hello again, This may not be a new topic but just a detail I've been kicking around. Any advice for or against using residential style top hung windows in a house truck. I want a top hung window with a screen that cranks open ,so you can have ventilation rain or shine. I've looked at the rv ones and...

incolet
Hello all, Thanks Chuck, I'm a newbie to all this forum, posting stuff so any directions are appreciated. Hello to Mark, seriously I think these Incolet units have a pretty good track record. I think if you crunch the numbers, comparing all the pieces required to install a typical rv toilet, holding...

re black tank alternatives
Hello all, Thanks for the replies. I am planning on running all the electrical in the living area in 120/240v. ac. so thought any kind of incolet or composting unit might work. Grey water is not an issue but truckin around a tank of effluent looking for a sani dump seems like a hassle. I want to be ...
