Very inspiring story Roger. I got see the exhibit at the museum just as I was finishing my skoolie. You have been a huge inspiration in our quest to break free from the conventional lifestyle. It is encouraging to see people getting by on there own creativity and not having to be a slave to some McJ...

Wired in charge controller and inverter under the buss's control panel. The original battery compartment is just under the inve...

Have you talked to this guy? http://newyork.craigslist.org/que/ctd/1754411014.html The mileage is a little high but at that price you would have money left for repairs if needed. At 250k miles the engine should still be in very good shape. Steering and suspension would be the things to look closely ...

That looks like a pretty nice rig Dennis. I also have to agree that you want a diesel. My shed truck has a 460 with a 4-spd. It has LOTS of power but gets terrible mileage. My daily driver has the 7.3l powerstroke. The 7.3l could out pull the 460 and it gets twice the mileage. Be sure to get somethi...

You will see how yours are sealed when you pull the ones you have to pull. I used some of that winte...

It looks like they went all out on the insulation.
I know what you mean about careful removal. You never know what your going to need.
Here is a shot of some of my "carefull removal" of the Komfort.

Nice score! That gets me thinking. I am just wrapping up and have few things I'm not going to use. If you are still in the planning stages maybe you could use some of it. I have to come to Prineville in the next day or two and could bring it by. I'll go snap some pics and drop you a PM with my phone...
