Re: Helloooooo?

Hey there Stealthy I'm still in NY finishing up a project although I've han some work done on the building. I'm waiting on my passport and then I'm gonna fly down to have the power turned on and the security system activated and have a bunch of machinery delivered. Dennis 😎 I can't find the posts f...

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus

Hi SC. Glad to hear from you. I made it through the first carotid artery surgery so I'm still here and finally up and at 'em. We spent the week of the fourth at a near by KOA and enjoyed the camp out after nearly half a year without using the bus. Funny how much I forgot about the ins and outs of t...

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus

Thanks for the reply SC. Doc says the little hole method won't work for me. It will be 3" cut, a temporary shunt and the use of a 2 millimeter "spoon" to scoop the junk out of the plugged vessel. The vessels will all get stiched back in place and I'll have a new conversation starter ...

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus

Good to hear from you. Honeysuckle Rose is all topped off with diesel, oil is changed, water tank is full and waste water is empty. We are just waiting on a few health issues to clear up and we'll be out the door! The vascular surgeon will tell me tomorrow when I start a heavy duty ration of blood ...

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus

Well, black-eyed peas didn't help this year so far! Three of us, including a visiting 15 yr old great grandson, got covid in mid Jan. Have had it before, but this one was worse because we didn't make time for vaccines. Never make that mistake again! Recovering now, with some remaining symptoms that ...

Re: Helloooooo?

Still hanging in here. I check in regularly and it is very quiet. Did you get moved? Looked like great place to be. We have been to TN once a few weeks ago for another funeral. Wife is almost healed up from broken hip, so that is very good. Lots of vehicle maintenance and right now, just ready for a...

Well, my update du jour. Ended up with 6 weeks in the hospital. Her leg is healing slowly. Luckily she is not one of the 1 in 5 who dies from this thing! We had spring rains that lasted until the first week of July, then it turned hot and humid. We did get 40 peonies planted in pots for fall plantin...

Re: Coming to America

If you get in touch, tell him I said hi! We emailed for a while then he went radio silent. Hope he is ok... How you loving that over the road stuff? Kind of "amateur hour" at the truck stop these days! Lots of new guys that really don't get very good training. Or they don't listen. One of ...

Re: Gardens

Bluebird update. I took pics of the 5 eggs on 17 May. Yesterday I looked again and there are at least 4 young birds, fledged out and just about ready to learn flying! And we have gotten about a dozen blackberries so far....if I ever get a chance to plant them out of these pots, I bet we will get a l...

And the bluebird nest reported on in the "where is everyone" section needs updating! There were 3 babies that survived the first batch and now the same pair is working on another batch, starting with 5 new eggs! I have been trying to not bother them too much....
