Rudy I just bought a universal fuel pump from Oreily. I think it was $60 and was ok for gas or diesel. I hope you get it worked out soon. Sounds like you have plenty of help here. I just found out today that I will be "mobile" in a day or two. I thought I was going to have much mor...

Sometimes it makes sense to remove the part or whatever is in the way. On the other hand, you'd have to catch all the coolant that spills when you remove the hose. This is probably a last resort for you but I just thought I'd put that out there.

I like how you put "pro" in quotes. I was a "pro" for a while. They charged people $100 an hour and payed me $10 to do the work. You don't always get what you pay for and the more things you learn to fix yourself, the better your bus life will be, financially anyway. MAC tools? F...

I'm not sure what kind of tools you're working with but inexpensive line wreches don't always fit very well. I have some cheapo line wrenches and last time I worked on my brakes, I ended up using a regular craftsman open end wrench because it fit better. My line wrench was stripping. If it's just ti...

I appreciate the advice. I fully intend to drive it around and see if it gets better. I was just making sure you understood that the wheel was locking up extremely easily. Now that I think of it, the first time I noticed this, I jacked it up and spun the wheel by hand. If I spun it fast enough, it w...

That's pretty slick. I actually made one of these using a jar. I made holes in the lid for a valve stem from an inner tube and a hose that fits tightly in the lid and goes to the bottom of the jar.You have to pump it up with a bike pump. It's a low tech cheapo trick. For the price, the sprayer setup...

The only problem with trying to drive with slight pressure is usually only 3 wheels are turning and one is leaving a black streak of expensive rubber on the street. If I drive with no pressure and very careful stops, it gets better when they warm up. Either way, I like your idea and I will try it so...

It does go away. When I spin the wheel off the ground, I get a slight rub in one part of the rotation. It must be slightly out of round or there is just a rough spot. I'm suprised it hasn't worn off from driving. I actually emory clothed both drums just to clean them up but maybe there is pitting I'...

The problem does go away with driving but comes back after it sits for a day or two. I've driven it about 150 miles and had the wheels off 3 times. There's no rust but I haven't had them checked for out of round. It's one thing I can't do at home. That's probably the problem. I located a good NAPA a...

Bob, Thanks for the pep talk. I know I'll get it. I'm just anxious to get out of my current living situation and out on the road. Even if it's just for a while. I have been tracing my hydraulic lines and it appears this thing has some sort of split system where one side of the master works one front...

I'm beginning to get frustrated with this. Maybe a better description of whats happening is a total LOCK UP of one front wheel or the other. I've had 30 something odd vehicles and never experienced anything like this. I am taking into account everyones advice on parts replacement but I just want to ...

I've been using NAPA primarily. What I like to see is someone who isn't afraid to open the old books under the counter. That's where all the info is. It doesn't seem like everything has made it on to their computers yet. They have to open a book to find my B500. Their computer doesn't cover it. I'm ...

Thanks for the ideas. Ive had the "check valve" problem on a motorcycle before. It would build pressure with friction heat and lock while going down the trail. I'm hunting for some more parts I guess. The linings are definitely contaminated. I've never had this problem with contaminated sh...

On the bright side, when I do head out on the road, I will have a thorough understanding of how my brakes work, and lots of new parts.

I did rebuild 5 them(wheel cylinders). Mostly because I needed 6 of them. I have had the wheels back apart and they aren't leaking yet but I am sure some of them will. Back to back surgeries have made me temporarily poor. What's really confusing me is first , the driver wheel was locking. I took it ...
