Re: 1989 S1600 White Rhino
I'd rather spend the money on the items I need to make my current project livable. If I was to do that then I'd have to rig the new purchase up to be usable for me without propane. That's more of a pain in the rear for me because I'd have to find and pay people to work on two projects and I just don...

I'm all ears when you write that song!
I love the look of the showman's wagons. I know that eventually I'll have some sort of tiny house built on the frame of mine but I want something with character. I'll definitely be interested in whatever you build.

Re: Maybe a little help along the way, for some young honnie
I'm leaving next Friday to start head west TO Washington. My trip is going to be a long pokey one so I don't know exactly where I'll be when after Ohio the weekend of the 17th but I'll be traveling I80 for most of it. I'm not going veggie oil. Right now I'm just not convinced with the gumming issues...

Re: Bedford Bus
LOL. I have to admit that it was a bit confusing to see the steering wheel there. I'll definitely be looking forward to your build. On that platform, what about shortening it rather than taking if off completely? One thing I enjoy about the Tortoise is the plants he puts on the back. You could short...

Re: 1989 S1600 White Rhino
Got most of my stuff out of storage and into the truck, the rest will be done Friday. Next week I'll be moving most of my things from this rooming house just leaving the bare essentials until the big day. Hey Mark! Someone came through and I'll be living between Monroe and Mt. Pihchuk! It's 40 mins ...

Re: Bedford Bus
That is so cool! Is there any way he'd at least let you get the basic legals done first? It seems to me that "maybe" if you kicked him a little extra cash and got to do the legals there you'd at least break even. Or is there more than can be reasonably accomplished?

Re: Another newbe
I'll be metal tent camping until about November. As much as I like trucks I don't miss driving for an occupation as much as I thought I would.

Re: 1989 S1600 White Rhino
Some small updates now that it's cooled off a bunch. Very little got done and moving date is closing in. I don't know if it's because this area is still recovering from the tornado, people are less kindly to others or what but after 14 different people committed to do work and then bailed after doin...

Re: Wisdom in motion?
I still think the ideal package in a bus is a series 60 and a 13 speed RR, but I'm from the lunatic fringe. Not lunatic at all as that's my favorite set up as well. I drove a Volvo set up like that and I tried on more than a few occasions to get the owner to sell it to me. But lets be completely ho...
