Toilet

$2700.00 for a toilet?  :D  You must really hate dealing with your black tank. It seems to me that it isn't that bad, even when everything bad happens. I can think of a few places where that kind of cash might be put to better use in a conversion. So many conversions never get ...

well, I have an 85 bluebird with a GMC chasis. Yes, the roof height is a bit limiting, however if you are truly motivated you can remove the ceiling pannels and insulate under them which gives you another 2" insulation. Consider spray on for that, it gets into all the cracks. They are not the s...

You could go for a giant truck style camper that is raised with jacks or in this case hydraulic rams on each corner. Then just drive away and lower it down. The "camper" would need a strong battery bank to run the hydraulics, but it could be able to handle a strong unit. The next task is t...

What kind of Plasitcote did you use. The brand has a wide product line-up. The reason I ask is it sounds like we are talking two different products. Here is a link to the stuff I used and a description: http://www.go-rv.com/coast/do/catalog/page?index=A&pageNext=TRUE&dealerId=100&pageNum...

Thanks for the infor sharkey. So far when it's warm it's very soft. However it's still a new product. We are considering it for another project and the information is very usefull. I'll keep you all posted in how well the fibrecoat we used holds up on the bus roof.

Yes I think it's possible. Great idea. However you and your welder will have to become close friends. The amount of frame it would take to support a removable "dwelling" on the back of a commercial truck rail would be substantial. I think the Kiss theroy is a good moto to follow. Good luck...

The rack on the top is a deck. It was originally built to hold our King size matress on our move to Halifax from Calgary (and back again) because it was too large to fit in the bus. We have decided to keep it. Great for sitting on in the evenings. Great views and it keeps us off the ground and away ...

There is also a sense of satisfaction creating somthing yourself. So at the end of the day when you are exhausted and hurting you can say "I made that" and know you have many years to come to enjoy it.

I added some more photo's of recent work. I hope you enjoy.

I'm very happy for you sharkey. It is nice to know where home will be. We just bought our first last night :) after being evicted (rental) because the landlords want to cash in on the oil money in the city and develop our cute little house downtown into a duplex :x . Anyways, it sounds good for you....
