This helps to have it here, so I can do my research. Thanks. Oh, please keep the discussion going, the more to research, the b...

I do have one very important safety tip I would like to add to this thread. Never wear a polyester type material, or something that "melts" when welding. That is the number one lesson I remember learning. However, if you have ever seen the burn one gets from melting clothing "into&quo...

Yes, "Ginger" does like this. :) DB will also, I do believe. He is kind of our "resident" antique tractor buff - I think. If he has to have parts built for my tractor, guess we know who to contact. :D

Stuart, I don't know how to "delete" photos out of here. I have learned how to turn them on my computer, before posting, but don't know how to take them off here for turning? I now know I need to turn them before sending to tinypics. But my computer operating system lets me turn them there...

Hey DB, I learned alot from that class. :) Thank you. I have also been studying the different rods, and what they are for. For example: the higher the first couple of numbers, the higher psi. 6011 rod, is rated at 60,000 psi, 7014 is rated at 70,000 psi. It is those first numbers, the 60, and the 70...

The good and the bad of different welding styles:

There are advantages and dissadvantages to different types of welders. I thought I would start a discussion about them here. I will start by posting a link to a site that discusses it some. http://www.weldingtipsandtricks.com/stick-welding.html It would be nice to have some different feed back and p...

Peter, I have been to your "Paradise". I admit I loved seeing it. It was nice, I liked visiting. However, to live there, I wouldn't want to. For one, there is not much chance of ever waking up to find a foot of snow on the ground  . I like having four different seasons of the year. Do...
