Re: New commuting vehicle
I'm definitely going to be watching your project. I've been looking at electric bicycles and scooters here but the good ones are expensive. I've actually been looking at the 3 wheeled bike so I can haul my groceries and junk I pick up at Harbor Freight.

Re: Insurance BAH!!!
You can get residency without staying in SD. They had to stay in SD because they switched their drivers license which I won't be doing right away. I don't have to have a SD drivers license to register my vehicle there. Weird I know, so does most of SD. The loop hole(for lack of a better term) is a d...

Re: Wisdom in motion?
It's not the ISO itself, it's the aluminum walls on the interior that can create condensation due to the temperature difference. Moisture will be trapped between the ISO and the aluminum. I'm going to use ISO in my super long term build. In the mean time I'm working my walls out in such a way that I...

Uh, the mess is a long standing work ethic of our government ever since they found out they could make profits from war. Not from any one individual. Just sayin.

Re: 1989 S1600 White Rhino
As Mark O. sez, if it wasn't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all. The deal to move my truck from where it is now fell through so I'll have to keep it where it is. I'll just have to do what I can with what I have and work on it a little at a time on the road. The guy doing the metal work is coming o...

Insurance BAH!!!
So, I'm trying to get insurance and so far it's been a HUGE pain. Not so much because I'm self converting but because I live in Massachusetts. There are very few that will even consider insuring me but because of my vehicle it will cost over $1300. Ouch! My next plan is to get one of those mail box ...

Re: Wisdom in motion?
That's a lot of aluminum you'll be insulating. Have you considered used pink/blue board? Sometimes you can find it on craigslist for next to nothing and since you'll be taping seams anyway, taping a couple of pieces together to make a big one won't be that bad. There is also this place: http://www.i...

Re: Another newbe
Well, as usual I can't find the invoice from Byler, but I had seen that site and I think Byler was cheaper, but I may have bought theirs because I bought a bunch of rivets at the same time. Ah okay. Over time I've made it a habit to not buy from sites that force me to give up my private information...

I'm using this http://www.bylerrivet.com/products/item-details.aspx?pid=2384 between all of the panels and also on the ribs. That adhesive looks pretty good and appears to bond with everything. I'm surprised they don't list a price. May I ask how much you paid for yours? I finally found a price her...
