Sharkey's OK. He came by my cabinet shop Friday to pick up firewood and sawdust. He's been very busy and is taking a hiatus from being on line so much. He says when he's ready he'll be back and let us know what's been going on. His horse is doing well.

Looks great, Sharky! I'll be there with my buckets in hand in a couple of weeks! I'll even bring Fred with me, and he'll make us some jam!

Dennis- If you'll go to my web site and purchase 2 books, I also include a DVD of Eric's housetruck TV show.

If anyone else is interested in a DVD copy of Eric's TV show, I have a limited number of DVD's I'll sell at cost for $2 plus $4 for Priority Mail or $2 for Media Mail.

Dadeo, about the NZ houseruck book. I like it in part, because it is it the hardest housetruck book to find if you are trying to collect all the available books on this subject. Also, the NZ book is more of a commentary on a community situation where these folks travel and camp together and do fairs...

"Home Free" housetruck book

Hey Everyone...Here's a link to abebooks.com where I found two copies of "Home Free" the New Zealand book on housetrucks that is hard to find. I already have several copies. A nice book with lots of pictures with text, and a view of the housetruck culture in NZ. http://www.abebooks.com/ser...

Sharkey, you have it all wrong. When you get your housebus ready to be a guest house, then YOU should move in. Then, use the old housetruck as a guest house. Isn't the Crown supposed to be your new home? Think about all the years you have been working hard for it to be your house. It's time to finis...

So Sharkey...are you going to leave your front gate unlocked so your friends and I can come by and visit you? I would like to enjoy the quietness and clean air with you some time. I also want to clean up your berry patches so next year you will have more then you can eat and want to bring some of th...

Well, I thot I'd respond to the questions about my housetruck. Unfortunatly, my housetruck has been parked behind my cabinet shop ever since my divorce. Oh my gosh, it's been almost 15 years! Oh! How time flys. I do think I can get it started with just a little bit of work, but at this point even th...

Sharkey... I was happy to help out a good friend. and it was a pleasure following your bus to its new home at the coast. Then, I enjoyed following you again and documenting you in your housetruck, with the with the pusher behind it, knowing that it was probably it's last time on the road. Roger

On the Road Again...Sharkey's Now on the Coast

http://www.housetrucks.com/mrsharkey/c001.jpg As I followed Sharkey’s CROWN on it’s voyage to a new home, I took some photographs. The road shots were taken by holding my old 35mm Pentax camera free-hand out the window of my chase car. http://www.housetrucks.com/mrsharkey/c002.jpg The significa...

Old and New get to meet

http://www.housetrucks.com/mrsharkey/c00b.jpg Before the Crown left for the coast, Sharkey brought it over to my cabinet shop to meet an old friend. My housetruck has been parked behind a fence for many years and it enjoyed the company of the Crown. I wondered if myhousetruck was a little envious s...

Michael- glad to hear from you! I see you like the trailer idea also. Is your idea to be "on the road" or simply pull your trailer to another location and park it? I want to be on the road as I have many friends all over the country, so I will eventually be looking for a newer truck to pul...
