Well, I searched around on that site trying to find the book but couldn't, so then I searched around on the web and couldn't find it there either. David Pearson is also the author of Freewheeling Homes. Let us know what the book is like. For that price, I could afford to get a copy to review.

New Book Review Posted

Since I don't seem to be able to do anything particularly useful with myself for the last few days, I thought that I might finally get around to writing and posting the review for Roger B. White's Home on the Road . The book has been out since 2000, and my copy has spent two of those years sitting o...

Changes to page file names

Some of you may be aware that there is currently an exploit worm going around the 'Net that attacks phpBB forums. I have seen this worm come through my access logs hundreds of times in the last week. Although there is NO DANGER of this worm affecting a viewer/user's computer, it is capable of causin...

No, no, Osprey is not my bus. It's owned by Steve, who lives in it with his wife and two sons. The picture on page 159 in Roger's book was taken in my driveway (look for the overhang of the Crown in the upper right corner of the photo) when Steve was on his way to Alaska to look for a new piece of l...

Yeah, I know. TDI Club, Citroen users forum, Mercedes Benz boards, 4x4 clubs, Robert Bentley forums, some in foreign languages that I can't even begin to figure out, I have links coming in from all over. Two weeks ago I was hanging out with Ian from SeQuential Biofuels as he was sitting in the Biodi...

Forum Software Updated

Not really a trouble to report, but the forum was updated this date to version 2.0.11 in order to protect against the Perl.Santy worm. If anyone notices any adverse changes in the operation of the forum, please let me know.

Are you thinking of Harold and Maude? I don't remember the actress' name, but the Maude character lived in a converted railroad Pullman car poised on a ridge by itself. Harold was very impressed with it's interior.

I'm probably going to run into something like this myself. I'm installing a service panel with 50 amp main breakers, and terminating the input under the bus on a large enclosed terminal board. When necessary, I can pull off the pigtail and switch it over to something that connects to whatever socket...

Hmmm, well I guess I should have expected that adding a forum would invite all manner of penniless riff-raff to post embarrassing stuff. However, Damien, you have provided the seeds of your own containment. Keep it polite and I won't have to supply the name of your famous sister, resulting in who kn...

(Pay no attention to this guy, folks, he has issues with an e-mail ailment similar to Tourette's Syndrome). Damien! I though you were mad at me, no messages for months??? Come, now, just because you can't hold back typing naughty words in the subject line does't mean that you can't at least try to s...

Don't give up. After almost ten years, I feel like my Crown project is in suspended animation sometimes. Then I get a burst of energy and do some work on it and realize that it's not as far from being done as I think it is. I'm getting some powerful motivation to work on it to make sure that I can g...

More Bus/Truck Books

Last night I sent some enjoyable time over at Rob Gray's Wothahellizat Site , reading what looks to be his last posted travel journal. He mentioned an Australian book called Move House which appears to have at least a few "Down Under" house trucks and buses, as well as other moveable dwell...

It's been a while since I checked Roll Your Own out from the public library, but I remember at the time being somewhat confused by many of the tales and quotes included in the text of the book. Not much of it seemed to relate to the vehicles pictured. Over the summer, I had a RL meeting with a fan o...
