Re: Dusty's Bus
I love your pics and trips. I think those adventures would be right up my alley, mumsywumsy not so much. Or should I say "It ain't gonna happen, ever". We're getting near the 50 year mark, met in high school. And while she has never discouraged me from doing things she has never actually e...

Thanks Jack, just another excuse to buy more toys. I do enjoy being cheap and figuring out how to get what I want without spending for the new fancy stuff.

Re: somewhereinUSA build
I started this in response to the hello post then decided it was hijacking that thread. I'm making a shower door out of walnut and some cut down bus side windows. I found out that cutting laminated glass isn't really all that hard. This is a section of a walnut log that was left over after I sold a ...

Re: hello
I'm still here and check every day. I haven't much to post, still working on bus. Just a lot of little things nothing spectacular to post about. You know trimming things out making cabinet doors finishing inside of cabinets. I did saw a walnut log into boards that I am going to make the shower door ...

Re: New Music
Thanks,
As with everything it may be a while, I'll share the results. Currently I'm working on the shower door for the bus.
That too will take a while since only yesterday the walnut wood was still a log laying in the front yard.

Re: Battery Price
Thanks for the write up Stuart. Looks like you put a lot of work into that. I'll have to digest it a bit. I'm not ready for solar yet, but it seems I'll have to do a lot of studying.

That's rough, glad he's ok. Was he carrying a load? Do you move with the load at the top? I've delivered to shipyards in US. The cranes didn't seem to be quite that narrow.

Re: Solar Electric VW RV
Interesting, I wish he had posted more about the electrical part. I like the monitor for each battery although, I would think that a single monitor with the ability to cycle through the readings would have been more cost efficient and take up less space. Perhaps with a microcontroller, you could eve...

generator
I've posted this other places, thought someone here might have some insite. This forum tends to have better innovators/thinkers on it. I got my generator install pretty much done. It's a 20HP Kubota running a 320A 12V DC alternator. I ran both AC for about a half hour until overtemp shutdown. With n...
