My experience has been that the higher the drivers seat, the easier it is to know where you are on the road.

These days I drive container straddle carriers which have the drivers seat about 35 feet in the air and you can get your wheels within an inch of where you want them.

also there are two knobs next to the instrument panel. one is for engaging air emergency brakes(? or parking brakes?) the other is blue and you can push it and turn it but seems to do nothing. It is also part of the air system. Anybody know what it is? I have not driven any buses so don't really kn...

Don't tow with a chain

Chains are a very dangerous way of towing, due to the random directions that they fly, if they break.

A spliced wire strop is much safer, as it is more inclined to just go limp, if it breaks.
