I thought I had already been upfront about that. I am old. Also like Heavy Metal, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Brewster McCloud, A Boy and His Dog, and The Professional.

And probably others, if I could just remember through the "Old-timers" haze.

Looks like something else to me.

I have always wanted the 1959 Cadillac hearse used by Bud Cort in "Harold and Maude" (movie). Or better yet, the Jaguar conversion hearse that replaced it!!

I bet Minnesota is pretty right now. We were there a month ago and it was just starting to cool down and get some color. Gonna go back again.

And granite kitchen cabinets are the rage now. I just don't get that.
Corian maybe, but Formica definitely.

Sounds sad, but sometimes that happens. Have had some partings of ways.

Thanks for the final update. And thanks for keeping all the history intact - his bus has been one of many inspirations to my adventure. As has your Crown!!! And housetruck!

Well, on to other stuff....

Well, it has been "before long".

Is there more to the saga and I don't know where to look, or does it just end here??

Am enjoying the story a great deal! Just am disappointed that it took me so long to find it.

I was in LA area about 3 weeks ago and drove around some. Went to Sunset Beach and loved it! Everything else sucks. SB is kind of a quiet little enclave that is rapidly pushing the original people out with multi-million dollar condos, so it will be completely ruined soon. But kind of neat right now....

If my experience in past is indicator, he probably has a lot more than $23k in that bus. And that much worth of time to boot. There is a lot done there.

I live on I-35 running south to Texas as a main conduit to Mexico (thru Laredo). There are literally convoys of Mexicans driving some vehicle; car, van, pickup with two more of the same in tow. Usually no tags. Really dangerous configuration with truly junked up garbage picked up nearby and hauled s...

Gotta love it!!
The Scenic Cruiser is the high point of bus design (except for schoolies...).

If I had the money I would probably be tempted. $ 2,300 for the next schoolie is gonna happen quicker than $ 23,000 for that, though. Sad moment...

Thanks for the post - I really enjoy looking at it.
