Just a stray thought on material. Around here we can get 1-1/2" light weight nylon web in the HVAC row of the box stores. Used to hang ducting and isolates vibrations better than metal strap. Clearly for light weight applications though.

I'd say that was pretty "organic" all right.

Thanks for that note. I've pretty much decided I want to tow a small space, not drive a large one, but that certainly looks like it might be low hanging fruit. Assuming it's more or less functional.

Re: Im not sure where this goes but
Yup. Guy definitely needs a project! Ever considered building out of pink foam? 2-4" walls (can't remember if it was doubled or not - think it was). Floor, walls and lid were all foam sandwich with paneling inside and aluminum or GRP for the outer skin. Cabinets (box beam effectively) provide a...

Looks like you're ennobling the moment of success a bit of good old fashioned hooch! Or are you a Sun Tea guy? Great show. <g> One thought: Might want to check out that HWH sooner than later just in case. I've been bit by getting in parts and appliances and not touching them for a few weeks (or mont...

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus
Maybe a significantly bigger muffler (or two) with heavier pipe would tame the thing.

Wish I were sailing. I'm crawling around behind knee walls shoveling loose-fill cellulose from 40 years ago under the floor where it belongs. Then back to wiring. Got the sub-panel installed and just about got the 5 kitchen circuits completed. Then back to plumbing where all this started (!).

Re: New commuting vehicle
> keep triangle clear for peddling... Curious. How clear? For example, would piece of sheet metal filling the space bother you? Or is it actual obstruction to the knees that matters and in that case would 3" (1-1/2" each side of center) cause problems? Trying to get a feel for the possible...

Re: Battery cables
Check the "Documents" listed for this product, see if that sheds any light. http://www.alliedelec.com/search/productdetail.aspx?SKU=70092254 Personally I'd try hard to find the correct lugs. Maybe the local welding supply would have something. In my quick search I found lugs with 3/8"...

Re: New commuting vehicle
It would seem that CG would be even better if the battery could be mounted in the triangle. Is the physical size of the battery the limiting factor there or does something else cause problems? If it's battery size, I wonder if a "flat" battery configuration is possible - don't know what th...

> Great Stuff I used it on parts of a Ford van. I think it soaks up water. The sliding door seemed to get heavier each year. I haven't checked for sure but I think it's "open cell" foam and that will absorb water. I lunched the tranny and donated the vat before I got around to digging into...

Sausalito? Looks like the small business patch on the bay just north of the tourist section. Right below Fred's Fine Food. <g>
