Close ... I can certainly see why the plot triggered you. That was 1987, and I had already lived for over a year in my first schoolbus. I've used the movie link above, and Shirley Maclean doesn't seem possible. I had a sudden Karen-Black-Attack, but that seach soon fizzled. I know 100% for-sure this...

Thanks J.B. ... glad you liked the show. This is the reason I like doing these media spots. Whatever you have to go through to get "yourself published", just the exposure and positive feedback is enough make it all worthwhile. As per your post. My truck is called "Know Where To Go&quo...

In my books this is a 10/10 in terms of style, stability (tandem rear). If anyone buys this and fixes it up ... please keep in touch with me. I'd keep my eyes on something like this, with long-term goals and adventures in-mind. It's probably quite a mechanical job ... my firetruck was literally a tu...

Yes ... I understand Stan. I'm just using all this stuff for springboards leading to other domains, although I DID think you were saying it wasn't a rolling home. A better analogy is that if you build a sailboat in your back yard and don't go-off sailing any great distance ... have you REALLY built ...

Hi David, You seem to know a lot more about composting toilets than I do. I saw an ad in the back of (I think) popular mechanics and decided to call their 1-800 number. Imagine my surprise to find that "Sancor" ... which makes the toilets ... is in Toronto! I've become quite friendly with ...

I understand you point, however: The truck is perfectly mechanically sound, the engine fires up after belching out quite a bit of smoke, and once thrust into gear, it does in-fact roll. Even putting that aside, if I were to move it any reasonable distance (I'm considering Lake Simcoe, about 100 mile...

All I want to do is encourage and inspire others. If anyone wants to steal any ideas or copy something ... or even try to reproduce the entire project, nobody would be more satisfied and delighted than myself. I'd also have a damn good time laughing myself silly watching them have a go at it. If any...

On my computer, when I download it, I have to save it as an image (.jpg) file. Then when I open THAT ... I can zoom in and see the detail.

On the driver of Further and his being Speed limit

Hi Capttrips. Love your idea of making a Further ... a take on 20th century social-archeological reconstruction. I thought you might get a kick out of this picture taken in mid september. It's me in San Miguel De Allende Mexico standing at the front door of Neil Cassidy's home. This is where he was ...

No ... when I said older I didn't mean geriatric. Yes I know Harold&M well. No this was a woman of about 35 or 40 tops who is totally bored with her husband and lifestyle ... and she hires a handyman (sort of like a Harrison Ford type (say 22 to 25yrs)) who drives up in this rolling home and whi...

Damien needs your help remembering a Movie

This is a long one ... but can anyone help? The very FIRST image I saw of a "real" housetruck was from a movie I watched as a teenager. This would have been from about 1972 to 1976, I do believe. My two memories are of a cool dude in a self-made true-to-life hand-made home, having an affai...

Actually you'll see a little space-shuttle hanging off the bottom of the chandalier. That is hanging from a small ring that clips to a small wire cable, that attaches to a clip on the side of the couch. It doesn't swing much ... although to be truthful, the truck has never gone very far.

Nigerian ex-Princess Needs To Flee Country with $30M USD

Ah! .... photo's! This one is from Nov 16th and 17th of 2003. A bit of snow on the roof and the insulation factor is such that the interior temperature, with the wood stove on it's lowest setting, is in the mid to high eighties. I come out and chainsaw wood in my T-shirt, with a kind of sweedish-sau...

Thank you for the compliments dadeo, On a funky-scale of 1 to 10 the "articulated" firetruck idea would be a 10, about on-level with buying a London double-decker bus, or something similar. House-Truckers should be aware that as-of last year all the double-deckers in London are being done-...
