Somewhere on his web site he mentions one of the lens he uses and I looked it up. Cost is about $14,500 US. I suspect I won't get there anytime soon... Have a brother who is professional photog and he keeps directing me toward Nikon - can't remember what model - but he says I should be able to get c...

That bird will probably be pretty when it grows up. Looks like one of those gray parrots, but I can't tell for sure.

That's perfect! Is it one of your pets? This is just one of the things I love about this place - the "off-the-wall" stuff that everyone comes up with. I have been visiting here since I think before 1997 and am so sorry I didn't join the forum before I did. Missed a ton of stuff. (Most foru...

Belize seems to be a little bit different. It was a British colony up until just a couple dozen years ago. English is official language. And it is beautiful!

We want to go visit, maybe next year.

Goodclue, Video may not exactly be what you want. This guy uses a Canon EOS5 with various lenses. I'm thinking I would love to have his setup. Second site is his place. He did a Famous Footwear commercial I have seen. If DSLR will do this, I think I won't need video equipment - just money. Twisted M...

Looks like he took the Tumbleweed Houses to heart and is selling a bunch of them. I could get into that.... if the day job didn't take so many hours a day. (Not complaining at all - love the job...I'm just saying....)

I won't do any of that with the spokes still on the bus. I am not flexible enough to work near the ground like that and I have a metal table just for torch/welding work. I am more likely to use the drill and tap approach anyway. While I do have a torch, the drilling method may lead to another excuse...

Wizard of Oz has been on this last weekend about 47 times. I enjoy the part where the 3 goofballs, er, uh,...heroes, are going to the wicked witches house. While they are scoping it out, the soldiers come marching in chanting, O-Re-O. Or-eeee-ooo. Was always my favorite cookie after the first time I...

Thanks, Mark. If I have to, I will find a new spoke. It has spent most of its life here in Oklahoma. We use salt and the other stuff (calcium ??) but it is fairly sparse. Will get two or three big ice storms a year, then it washes off with the next rain so usually isn't too bad. 'Course, this bolt b...

Winston...used to smoke them before I quit. When I was a kid, I got to tour the Winston factory. As we were walking through, the janitor was walking around sweeping. After a while, he grabbed a dust pan, scooped up all the stuff and put it in the box of tobacco that fed the machine. Hmmm...tasty!

When I get some free time, I will go back through the manuals and see if I can find any info about the load ratings. I was able to get a complete set when I bought the bus. I was amazed it could still be had.

There is also a lug bolt on one spoke that is broken, so will have to replace that, too.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH, Mark!!

That is exactly what I was hoping to hear!! You have made my weekend. Now all I have to do is implement!

Quick side question; I have 5 spoke. I have seen pictures of 6 spoke. That must be for heavier applications??
