Power and Water. Those became priorety at the new site. I had a 3500w genny and the bus had one starting battery. Most electric in the bus is 12v. I did wire it for 120v but had no inverter to power the plugins from the battery. Lights, water pump, and furnace where all 12v and taxing the battery. T...

I must have been too busy to take pictures that week. I hung the three holding tanks. I plumbed the black and gray tanks drains to a waste valve. I made a metal box for the hot water heater and mounted it. I cut in vents for the back of the fridge. Installed the bed and two closets. We even got some...

Some of you may have noticed that I am going at this it a kinda backwards. If I had a bunch of cash to plunk down when I got the bus the order would have made more sense. Ideally I would have pulled the windows I wanted to pull. Done any roof raising, frame support, and exterior paneling that needed...

Very nice bus Rudy! It looks like you've put a lot of hard work into that thing. On the frozen holding tank thing. I also hung all my tanks under the bus and live in a cold climate. I wrapped heat cord around the waste valves and put a little indoor/outdoor temp probe on it. Then I insulated the tan...

The house we had been renting had lots of storage and space to work on things but cost way too much. We realized that after paying rent and bills there really wasn't any money left to work on the bus. A the same time our landlord was coming around more and more. She was a neat freak and we where dem...

Thanks for the warm welcomes. I'm going to post this a bit at a time because I can only take so long in front of the screen at once. Before I get too much further I'll go a ahead and introduce the new bus inhabitants. Here we are, all exited with oh so far to go. http://i44.tinypic.com/vy8d3t.jpg I ...

It was the second camper I have torn apart. The first was a 27 foot motor home on a one ton ford chassis. It was much more stout than the Komfort. It had inch and a half by inch and a half framing. The Komforts framing was 3/4 or less. http://i43.tinypic.com/f1a26o.jpg It sat stripped to the frame f...

New bus new life
This is my first post on here but I have been here several times for ideas and inspiration. I first found the site years ago when some fellow veg burners told me about Sharkeys electric powered/ diesel pusher project. Very nice Sharkey! I hadn't been here in a while until one day something happened ...
