Re: Missing Photo's?

Just had a look, and all of your photo's showed up. Maybe photobucket was just running slow, when you checked.

Re: Battery Price

Not my write up! I copied it off a guy who is a Linux software developer. The link takes you to his blog. Just thought it was good stuff, done in a considered way. And there is not much in the way of good info on lithium battery technology, used in this manner yet. Off topic, I didn't get any email ...

Re: Adventures in web community infrastructure

I've just setup and security hardened a new Linode server. I intend on transferring the forum over in a couple of days, at which point there may be a four to six hour period of down time.

Re: Adventures in web community infrastructure

Still no progress converting the database. I have decided to set up a new Linode server for the forum, for reliability in the mean time. I intend on having it available for at least 12 months, possibly 24 months. In which time I should be able to work out a better long time system. I have also been ...

Re: Adventures in web community infrastructure

And the new server went out! :banghead: We are back on the previous server now, having lost less than a full day, from the last backup. Unfortuantely, the last part day we did lose, happened to be the busiest time that the forum has had, in some time now. :banghead: I'm still working at getting the ...

Hey Jack. I've seen the stills to that. If I'm not mistaken, there was a third crane, that ended up the same as the first two.

Re: Have you considered the weight?

He maybe back at work, but he is going to be in for a painful old age. Just about anything that can be broken in a person, was. Were he is lucky, is that he has absolutely no memory of the entire day that it happened. The outside width on that particular machine is 5 metres, which is twice the width...

reconditioning an accordion

Have an accordion. In fact I have had it for around 20 years now. Unfortunately, it was left abandoned in a shipping container for about eight years, which left it in a sorry state. New accordions are very expensive instruments, so I have decided to attempt reconditioning the one I have. And also to...

Re: Fun with tornadoes...not so much!

I suspect that if you have not been through an experience like that, there is no way of really understanding what it is like.
I've never experienced a tornado, nor am I in a hurry to do so.

Have you considered the weight?

I have in the past been somewhat outspoken, in regards to weights, capacity, and weight distribution. Some people have considered me to be needlessly pedantic about the topic. I tend to be much the same in my work place, and though not to the same degree, I used to get a similar response from some o...
