Re: 1935 Chevy school bus
Thanks Jack --- I figured ours must be set up a bit differently. Mine pierce through a narrow section directly above the windshield. Above that is a closed area that juts out a couple of inches. Not deep enough to put anything in...just enough to be in the way. Maybe I can jury-rig something off a ...

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus
Thanks Jack --- relying on my memory is a dangerous thing these days. I have very little room on the inside to mount motors, that's what interested me in one you showed a pic of long ago. Someone installed what looks to be a single motor Lucas cable system to drive two wipers at the bottom of the t...

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus
Hey Jack...Quick Question --- ages ago you mentioned using '95/'96 Dodge Caravan wiper motors. But nothing I've been able to locate looked anything like the compact, straight shaft unit that you posted a pic of. Am I off base or was what you shot/used something different?

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus
Aw C'mon Jack! --- I am confident that if any drips appear, you will MacGyver a watertight submarine seal out of some rubber tubing inflated by the steam from the new rice cooker...and get a tasty rice bowl in the process.

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus
Sweeet! --- Thanks for the road report Jack. Everything looks awesome. Love the homemade tambour doors on the cabinets and the LED's appear to be very close to sunlight. Much better than the old yellow incandescent auto lamps or deathly green fluorescents. HR can hold her own in any company thanks ...

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus
Very extremely cool Jack! --- And actually, it has kind of an old school art deco look. Kinda like a breadbox designed to go 200 mph.

Thoroughly elegant (in the original sense of the word) Solution! --- I hope you left the assembly line set up for those suckers. Something tells me you could easily sell a boatload Jack! Sweet. Get a patent!

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus
Hmmmm --- The low light thing sounds like the difference between "water resistant" and "water proof". Worth reading the fine print. As best I can recall, one system I looked at had a wide angle in the rear but the two "side" cams were conventional view. All had distanc...

Re: 1935 Chevy school bus
Outstanding Jack! --- Quite a shakedown cruise. And many thanks for sharing the adventure & pix. What are your thoughts on some of the "back-up" camera systems? Given the visibility limits of these rigs, I am considering a three camera arrangement myself. One out the back, one as a pa...
