Buses for sale

Post by Mark R. Obtinario »

Hi all,

I have two Gillig rear engine buses, three IHC conventional buses, and a Thomas Saf-T-Liner RE for sale.

One Gillig has a DD 6V-53/5-speed/air brakes. The engine was an out of frame rebuild by the local DD dealer and it has less than 10K miles on it.

The other Gillig has a Cummins C-190/5-speed/air brakes.

One IHC is a Loadstar tilt hood with a Blue Bird 37' with a 6.9/Allison/hydraulic disc brakes.

One IHC is a Loadstar tilt hood with a Carpenter 35' with a DT466/Allison/air brakes.

One IHC is a S-series with a Thomas 35' 7.3/Allison/hydraulic disc brakes. I purchased this bus in Grand Rapids, MI last December and drove it out to WA state. It got 6-8 MPG and averaged a little more than 60 MPH. All but four of the seats have been removed (I used it as a moving van). Unusually, the bus has virtually no rust even though it saw service in Whitehall, MI.

The Thomas is a 40' two axle and has a Cat 3208T/Allison with retarder/air brakes. The transmission was recently rebuilt and has less than 10K miles on it. Bus can cruise at 70+ MPH.

All are for sale.

All are located in Castle Rock, WA.

Make me an offer.
