Hello from the UK!...

Hi there!
Thought I'd introduce myself, Martin here, from the UK. I grew up on a small island (Mersea Island) on the south east coast, later moving to the south coast to study followed by a few years in London for work.
I have always wanted to live out of a van, and in July last year my girlfriend, of 7 years, and I bought our first van, a 1968 Bedford Romany CA for £250.
Photo of us collecting it with my parents after buying it: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2 ... =556715211
Whilst living in London we would commute to Mersea at the weekends to restore th van:

On September we finally got it back on the road:

Unfortunately the windscreen leaks and currently the glass is out and I am waiting for a new window rubber. Then we are onto customising the inside. Hopefully I will find some good tips from the forum
It's not exactly a housetruck but we plan on keeping it and who knows what will happen...I've had my eye on some old buses recently
We are planning on traveling to new Zealand next year to travel through the country, I am hoping we will have the delights of seeing some housetrucks during out stay.
Right, now I'm off to have a nose around in the forum!
Martin.
