Wow, that really turned out nice. You did such beautiful work, DB.

It turned out to be a bigger project then I anticipated! Nothing in the orginal construction was really square, and that was only compounded by age and use. It really would have almost been easier to start from scratch and just build a new trailer! I had to cut and fit every replacement piece of wood and framing to fit the odd sizes and measurements. Then, when rehanging the aluminum skin and trim- well, I almost don't ever want to go there again- it was SO frustrating  ! I can see why the restoration pros like Craig Dorsey at VintageVacations charge so much for a full on restoration!

I think I need an nice easy old John Deere tractor to work on now! :)

After all that work, almost makes you wish you weren't selling it now that it's done, I bet. I know I hate putting all that time and work into something - then seeing it go.

Still rewiring the house, build out the laundry room, recopper the other house... that'll take care of a few months!

And the niece wants to open some kind of business when she gets back from the Gulf in the spring - assuming she decides to go non-active. She's talking opening a bar/grill, but she's a shoot-first-ask-maybe kinda girl with a nasty right hook - not sure her customer relations is quite up to it but it'll be something fun to look forward to. <g>
