1951 Federal with housetruck built in 1975 / 1948 Whizzer / 1964 Rabbit / 1964 Vespa / 1964 Lambretta / 1958 Cushman
Does one of those Vespas have a sidecar on it?
I had a 1961 Vespa that I drove for a couple of years. A simple machine that worked off a magneto, with a variable venturi carb that had very few parts.

I also took my motorcycle endorsement on this whizzer as it is street legal.
Roger
there is a guy in town who has a whizzer ,neat seeing it on the road.parts are getting scarce out here , not sure about the other coast tho
just because you ride the bus , it doesnt make you a bus person
the bus stopped and i got on and thats how it all began
The lambretta has the sidecar on it and is a 150cc 4 speed. It looks cool but its not an easy ride. The 1964 Rabbit is my favorite as it is a 200cc with a automatic transmission and electric start
If I had gotten my whizzer back in 1972 I would not have one today. I had wanted a whizzer ever since I was a 13 year old kid delivering news papers in LA. They cost too much now. parts can be gotten for a price. I have been a member of the Vintage Motor Bike Club for 38 years. http://www.vintagemotorbike.org/

Roger, My cousin had a Cushman motorcycle back in 1967. He wouldn't let us younger cousins ride it though. It had fat tires on it, and what looked to be a lawn mower engine.
Is that your pet bird on the bill of your hat?
I am the proud owner of an autographed copy of your book that was sent to me by Fred, the accordion player. I love it.
Rudy,
Yes, that's Nickel. He's a parrotlet, the smallest of the parrot family. He is 6 years old, about 4" long, and weighs less than an ounce. They call them the smallest parrots with the biggest personalities. I do not clip his wings, so he flies all over the office and uses my head for a landing pad.
Very cool pictures! It is always a good day when I can add to my rv porn collection! For those of us not in the know..(including myself) perhaps we could know the title of the book? I am guessing Rolling Homes...if so, I LOVE your book! If not..I am sure it is good also.
Roger's book is called Some Turtles Have Nice Shells.- By Roger D. Beck
The beauty thing is that it is still available. It is everything you would want in a housetruck picture book. There are some trucks that were in the Rolling Homes Bbook included in Roger's book.
It is published by TruckingTurtle Publishing

Buy yourself a belated Christmas present. You will cherish it for years to come.
I will do that as soon as I get a chance! I did get a new book this christmas, it is called "Mobile Mansions" by Douglas Keister. It has some great photos in it as well.
