This is a very interesting concept. I'm not sure if I would trust a coupler that clamps to the rain gutter, or how the trailer wires didn't ball up in a knot. It would be very easy to solve those issues though.

That's pretty cool. I suspect there were issues or it would have caught on.

I actually saw a trailer hooked to a small car in the '70's that attached to a roof top hitch like this one, except you did bolt thru the roof. Some of the more off-beat ideas of the day, like answering a question that nobody asked!
