Anyone heard from Mark Obtinario lately?

Post by dburt »

I haven't seen any recent posts from Mark Obtinario. Mark, are you still out there? I have recently bid on a '92 F700 Ford Thomas Bus with a 7.8L Brazilian Ford 6-cylinder diesel in it. I know they are not very highly thought of, but I have found some sites that say with proper maintance you can get 500,000 miles out of one if you don't try and pump it up. This bus has about 130,000 miles and has an Allison MT643 transmission. The bus is a conventional one. If I get it for a right (Low!) price, it would be neat to use this one to make my rear porch bus home conversion on. It seems to be in good shape, always had good care at the school district bus barn. Just seeing what you think about the 7.8L diesel.
