Here's what I woke up to this morning:

Image

About five inches of dry powdery stuff. Overnight low temperatures were about 29° F. This is the most snow I've seen all at once in about 20 years, and the driest in at least half that. So far, the snows here at the coast have been wet, sticky affairs, with lots of limbs breaking, trees falling, etc.

Had to go out and sweep snow off the solar panels, and when I went to feed Camellia, she really wanted out of the stall and into the white. I let her out on a lead rope for a few minutes, then put her back in to eat some hay. It was snowing pretty hard then, and since she couldn't get any grass in the yard, I didn't see the point in letting her get wet and cold.

Later in the morning when it let up and the sun came out, I put her in the pasture, where she ran around like a kid, burying her nose in the snow, pawing the ground, and kicking up her heels.

Image

She was hard to track and catch with the camera, I consistently aimed too far in front of her.

It's coming down hard again, the temperature is right at freezing. It's supposed to get very cold tonight, then gradually get warmer. Depending on the accuracy of that forecast, I may have snow left over for Thanksgiving.

Hey Sharkey...looks like you got some snow on the pumpkin lol. We have a severe winter storm watch but so far just some light snow. It's only 19° out right now.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving...be safe and gobble-gobble!

Beautiful!! Snow!! Yay!

Sometimes we get snow. Usually about a foot all at once the first or second week of March.

The rest of the time we get ice. 1/4 to 2 inches of the stuff at a time. I hate ice.

We are supposed to get the 24 the rest of you are seeing on Wednesday night. With a high Thursday of 40. Wouldn't be all that bad if it wasn't 83 yesterday. And about 65 today.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Chicago had rain and now it's hanging around 30 plus or minus some. Maybe snow by T-day.

Hope everybody has a grand feed w/out paying too bad on Friday!

Cheers, Rufus

HAPPY THANKSGIVING To All. Even though I don't have a dog in this fight, I do enjoy the grub.
Where I come from we tend to celebrate the anniversary of the day the Puritans left rather than the day they arrived. ;) .

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, from Bisbee, AZ
Thanks for the picture Sharkey. It's sunny and a little cool here. We will be headed for yuma in a couple of days to do some dental stuff across the border in Mexico. And then I don't know.
Peace to all of you.

Happy Thanksgiving One and All! May we always be mindful of the blessings we receive daily, and be a blessing to others at every opportunity.

Thank you, Sharkey, for the wonderful playground you have provided us, and thank all you wonderful people who play here so nicely together on it!
