Rudy, there has always been a 'gift tax'. Kind of like inheritance tax it seems. Now it is very large (to me) number, like $5 million (??). If you give $100 million to a private party, I think you will be subject to about a 35% tax or so. Or $13,000 per year.

Taxes piss me off! Not because we dont need them but rather on what they get spent on...like guns and ammo for other countries when we have hungery people in our own towns. Fuel tax is the only tax I feel ok with, it pays for the roads so that we can drive our homes around!

Judging by some of the information coming out of those leaked documents, the guns 'n' ammo is just the start.

I was once talking to my chiropractor's receptionist, who worked part time for a Social Security health clinic. She asked me if I had any idea how many of our tax dollars are wasted. "All of them, I assume" was my answer.

One upside to poverty is not having to shell out to the government quite as much. Now if I could do something about all that cash that the County wastes in the form of property taxes...
