It is 56 and sunny at 11:30 AM. I may grab my accordion and go play outside.

Lucky Rudy! It's 22° but I'm not complaining cuz it feels like a heatwave compared to what it's been the past couple of months. Tonight it's supposed to stay around 10°. At least it's above zero for a change. Although the temps are supposed to drop below zero again in a couple days.

Zero degrees is nature's way of telling you that you shouldn't be there.

Made it to Quartzsite last night and the weather here is worth driving to. I am in the free camping blm area...at least 400 yards from the nearest neighbor..a billion stars out...it sure beats the city!

77 yesterday (Saturday) - a new record. 45 today, with a little sun and some work in the woods. -2 Wednesday night. Yuck. We are gonna get a little piece of the next storm. But that always means 1 inch of ice. Would much rather have a foot of snow!

Glad I'm in the warm, balmy south-ish.

Well, we had a record high of 77 degrees here Saturday. Today it got up to a high of 8 degrees. And that was after the blizzard blew through and left about 12 inches of snow on the ground. Crippled all movement in the state. All the main interstates around Tulsa are closed by the highway patrol.

Little town northwest of OKC had its record wind chill this morning at -36. Real temperature was about +2.

I am sitting in the trailer looking out the window at a 4 foot snow drift in the driveway of the park. Went out to start the truck a while ago, just to make sure it was still functional. Bloody cold out there!

News dudes are talking like it will stay this way for a couple more days. We are not used to this kind of stuff, so it won't be pretty for a while. So...that's our fun for the week!

Lois, maby you need to go down to Arizona and fatten up a little bit to make it thru the rest of the winter up there! It is said that you can burn up lots of calories trying to stay warm in real cold weather. If it gets real cold up there, you might just waste away to nothing before it gets warm again!

Supposed to get down to about 15 tonight in the Treasure Valley (The area around Boise, Idaho) where we are currently babysitting our old farm house we had hoped to flip but can't sell very well now with the current economic mess. Old houses are drafty, hard to heat, cold in the winter and hard to keep cool in the summer.

This time of year is is supposed to average 40 during the day and down to 25-30 at night, but today it only got up to about 28. Where is all that global warming- I wish they would send us some over here!

I wear layers of clothes and when necessary, a hat. And I'm eating like a horse and taking mega vitamins :)
