Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all ... the Solstice is my big celebration ... and this year we've made it past all predictions to a potentially new world.Though the days are getting longer ... now begins our coldest time .. but brings much needed moisture to our parched mountains. Dry & middling cold here in Chicago. Good holiday pause from the 20 page to-do list. No disasters in sight, folks all talking civilly, maybe some carol singing tonight.

It is lunch time Christmas day here, now. Merry Christmas, happy holidays to all. In typical Christmas fashion for us, it is hot and sunny today.

Late, but have been traveling for the last week - Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
Got to visit the Great Smokey Mountain National Park last week (East Tennessee). Beautiful. And cold. A small black bear ran across the street in front of us during the drive. Silly bear - he should have been asleep by now!
Back in Oklahoma, and the cold is here now, too. Geez, I'm really not liking cold...
