Charge controller stuff

Post by Dennis The Bus Dweller »

PS: If I remember right, the C40 Trace controller has a power dump switch so if you do put together a good size string of panels and your battery bank tops off at say 12 noon I think the C40 will throw the excess power over to another appliance like 12 volt fidg. or a 12 volt water heater or something like that. Oh, also the C35 or C40 will do 12,24.48 volts. Just my 2 cents. :D
Peace along the way

Thanks for the input dennis. How much power do these units use while running? I took a quick peek at them, however it was not very clear. I would think a small unit like this one would be more efficient than a large one. I was looking at the trace c40, but at this time I don't see a large solar bank. I'd like one, but there are other priorities that are happening at this time on the bus front. Do you have a website that you are posting images or stories about your conversions or bus life?
