Nice woodwork. How is it pumped or does it just work off the mains pressure coming in at the bottom of the tank to push the hot water up out the top? How do you stop it from getting too hot?

Some more detail on the plumbing & controls would be interesting.

Yes, it works just like a standard shower with cold water running underground from the house into the tank. The hot water is pushed out of the top of the tank (just like a standard electric unit) and to the shower mixer valve. There is also a separate cold line running to the mixer valve so it operates just like a house shower where you can adjust the temperature to suit. Hope this helps. it's actually elegant in it's simplicity. No moving parts, heated by the sun, ready to use.
