Dennis, I LOVE buckwheat pancakes. It's strange, but I think I can actually smell them. They are a tradition in my family of Canadians. We call them des ploys. Just looking at that picture makes me want to jump in my Learjet and go there and have breakfast with you. Rudy

Well, Some of my favorite seens in Rogers book were with all the housetrucks and housebuses parked in a camp ground with everyone having a big feast enjoying good friends and good food. Freedom at it's best. I got 50 acres NE of here and I'll get a wheel barrow full of buck wheat if you guys are comin. Rudy, If you haven't seen Rogers book you should at least stop by his site and have a look. It's a great time capsule of the housetruck and housebus era. It was Rogers site that got me thinking about getting and building a housebus and the book sealed the deal and I’ve never been the same since, Thank The Bus Gods :D

Dennis, Fred who has posted on Music Central helped Roger write that book. He is sending me a copy in trade for some of my music CDs. I just received a bus book from DB and I love it. Last year, I was trying to sell a bunch of books on craigslist. One of them was Rolling Homes. Luckily I had no bites. I will not sell it now. I also have the 2nd Where's Waldo book and a great Dr. Suess book called Fox In Sox. I also have Kurt Vonnegut's autograph on a 3X5 card. I WOULD sell the Vonnegut autograph if I could find a buyer. But, who knows, perhaps it will be worth a big bunch of money later.

This unfortunate house dweller had to go volunteer today, I ate a huge omelet (sent Rudy a picture of it) and in between bursts of work I wandered
around. Got some locally grown onions-sent Rudy a scary picture of 3 stalks of brussels sprouts, and I got a treasure for Pit Stop.

I have an old-fashioned chamber pot and used to have the washbasin and jug that matched until a rat knocked them off the shelf. Today I found a smaller basin and pitcher to put in my "privy corner" for $2.00

Nothing in the bus is going to be new, but it's all going to be useful.

Cheers
Lois
