Bacon Barley Soup Version 2

Post by Rudy »

As you know, I had to dump the crockpot of version 1 in the woods. I could not eat another bowl of grease.
In version 2, I used the same ingredients, EXCEPT, I used pre-cooked and dried bacon.

At least, some animal out there in the woods will eat version 1.

I'll have pictures of version 2 later.

Oh Yeah! I got it right this time. This version IS the one. I also cut up a turnip and put it in this version. It has been cooking on low for eight hours. It is perfect. I will post pictures in the morning.

I just finished my second bowl. It is very good. It's spicy because I put more pepper in it than the first version. I put a tablespoon instead of a teaspoon. I will easily eat the whole crockpot of the soup.

Looks darn good Rudy

I'm going to slow-cook my hamburger soup on the woodstove tomorrow

My biggest soup pot holds a gallon and a half, is that enough soup for you and Bob for supper? :)
