Granny's Chocolate Cherry Pie

Post by Granny »

Start with a graham cracker pie crust. Mix a small box of chocolate pudding according to the "pie" directions, and put into the pie crust. Let chill, also chill a can of cherry pie filling. Chill these for about an hour. Then, spoon the cherry pie filling over top the chocolate pudding in the pie shell. Let set a few more minutes in the refrig. Serve. May be served with whipped topping on top. Also, can be sprinkled with a few chopped walnuts if you would like. I prefer to use the instant sugar free chocolate pudding, and the "lite" cherry pie filling d/t the diabetics in my family. My kids loved these and there would never be any left overs. Another option is to grate a little chocolate on top from a hershey's candy bar or something, or sprinkle a few chocolate chips onto it.
