I picked up a Kitchen Ninja on the cheap and just made my first green smoothie with it. It was fast!

Pears, mint leaves and spinach. YUM!

All the corn and a large percentage of wheat is also GMO. Sad state of affairs we have here.

Have been hearing rumbles that even groups like Seeds of Change are having great deal of trouble keeping the GMO components out of the seeds. This may be a bigger thing than ALL the climate change in the world.

I do believe Congress or the FDA or some agency is now looking at approving other food modifications as well.

I recently found out that many of the big meat packagers have been using carbon monoxide to keep meat red colored. This practice is banned in the EU, Canada and Japan.

And some of my family wonder why I have a high distrust with regard to the government thinking it knows whats safe for me.

I better stop right here.

So I found out that eating raw vegan isn't easy. In fact I think my stomach would explode and/or I'd be living while sitting on the throne. This is not because I'd be getting cleaned out, it's because I'd have to eat and drink SO MUCH to keep my calories at a proper level that I wouldn't be able to do much else.

I've never been a big eater even at family holidays. I hated that bloated feeling so much that I got picked on by family that I would starve myself. And for someone who has never been rail thin I always found that to be hysterical, it's just not in my genes.

Anyway, I've had to add a "normal" meal to the day in order to keep calories up and proper weight maintained rather than dropping weight faster than bricks will fall. The rest of the day I get to be raw vegan. Balance is essential.

Forgot to add that I'll also be picking up a food dehydrator.
What kind of stuff do you dehydrate and how long does it last?

I'll have to let you know when I get it but there are various recipes I'd like to try. The other reason I want one is to reduce the power load and consumption when I have my bus.
