Just a small can of tomato sauce and a heaping teaspoon of lemon pepper make a good pasta sauce for one serving. I was impressed.

Sounds good, Rudy. You've tickled my tomato fancy :D I'm a big fan of tomato anything and could eat pasta everyday for the rest of my life! :P

My best friend back in Chicago came from Poland and her parents couldn't even speak English. Her mom used to boil some tiny shell macaroni, toss in some butter and a small can of tomato paste. I LOVED IT!

I know this next one will sound weird to most people, but growing up in a family of six kids, sometimes money was pretty tight. Sometimes we used to eat just plain macoroni with ketchup. Well, broke or not, I've continued to make it throughout my whole life and have it several times a month. I have to admit, I just plain like it  Of course, you have to get just the right amount of Ketchup...too little and it tastes bland...too much and it tastes tart. But when you've been making it for 44 yrs like me...you can eyeball it just right :D

Another REALLY good one is something my mom used to make. Dice an onion, cut 1/2 lb of bacon into small pieces. Fry them together until the onion is done and the bacon is browned. Boil a box of macaroni; drain. Mix the crumbled bacon and onion plus a large can of whole tomatoes (chop them) or stewed tomatoes to the macaroni.... Mmmm!
