All Day Steak

Post by yugogypsy »

Get an ugly old chuck steak and take out the bone (save it for soup)

Place the steak in a roasting pan with some stewed tomatoes, some mushrooms, onions, garlic and a pinch or two of your favorite herb and two cups water.

Place in 200'F oven at 8 a.m. and at supper time it will have cooked to melt in your mouth softness-rather like an oven stew.

Sounds good!

Have done something like that in a crock pot, too. Low and slow is always the best way to cook to me. I have a small buffalo (bison) roast in the freezer that I have been waiting to cook. May just do that to it tomorrow morning.

Note: You may need more liquid than stated, I dried a chuck steak out to shoe leather a few weeks ago!
