Trail mix

Post by Stealth Camper »

I have had many variations of trail mix over the years, and most of them have been pretty good, but there was always one or two elements that threw it off to one degree or another. Usually, it is too many peanuts, since they are the cheapest ingredient. Almonds can get a little bit overdone, too. So, I have been playing with combos for years and tonight I mixed the One (at least for me).

1/2 cup peanuts
1/2 cup almonds
1 cup cashews
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup M & M regular
1/2 cup M & M dark chocolate
1/2 cup semi-sweet Nestle chocolate chips

DARK chocolate M & M's...!! Who knew??

So, now...my week's work is done....

Close, but you forgot the Rice Chexs and Corn Chexs and Wheat Chexs. There, now it's perfect

I add that to make "trash" for the holidays! The way I carry the stuff around - in a computer bag - they get beat to powder....
