Pedal Power may be coming back!

Post by dburt »

With all the news from NOAA and NASA about the increased solar storm activity and the chance of getting hit with a serious X-class solar storm, perhaps some of us should keep the old bicycle fixed up and ready to ride just in case! Just today there was another news release from NOAA about an X7 flare that the a sunpot shot off suddenly, but luckily for us earth bound dwellers, it was aimed at an empty part of space and not terra firma!

This is the one MAIN thing to worry about, 'cuz if it happens, there will be no stock market, credit cards, banks, anything controlled by computers (including the power grid, phones, computers, stores and check out registers, gas stations, etc) to worry about anymore. Just- "where did my bicylce tire pump go? Or did I feed the horse last night? What are we going to plant in the garden this spring?" will be the big issues!

Well, actually, there's some folks that think that's the only way to do it anyway... Eg. the Amish.
