I figured I'd start with some before pics of my new toy/home. It needs alot of remodeling but I have a head start from a previous conversion.

Not a fan of Ford chassis but that vintage of Superior bodies were built well.

I agree on the windows and the color of the interior.

This is my fourth Ford bus so I have little frame of reference for comparison. Is there any particular problem I should be worried about? I'm guessing parts availability may be the problem.

Parts are now becoming a problem.

What I have never liked about Ford chassis school buses is the way in which they drove.

For lack of a better word, they were clutzy. The steering never turned as sharp as GM or IHC, the ride was always harsher, and the driver's position was awkward--low and not centered with all of the controls.

If you don't know anything else then don't worry about it.

My opinion and a $5.00 will almost purchase a cup of coffee.

OK. I was afraid you'd say something about them being mechanically junk. I'm ok with the less refined tractor-like engineering of the Fords. I've also had about twenty old Ford trucks. I don't have a specific preference other than American made, but old Fords always seem to be inexpensive and still running.
