Those old 72 chevy trucks were tuff, my dad had a 1/2 ton with overloads put on it, and it carried a cabover camper 11' with restroom was a heavy camper all over the countryside, I bought a new 85 3/4 ford 4x4 and it sunk 7" when I loaded the camper on it after putting overloads on it would carry it but not as good as the old chevy, they just built the better back then.

Rudy...you're right, that is a cool looking truck and camper. I love the color and the lines. They just don't make stuff like they used to. I can't understand why when most people like the look of older vehicles better than the new stuff. Well, I'm sure it has to do with how cheap they can build crap now days and sell it for 25 times more than it's worth.

Familiar. Here's a banner I created that appeared in my signature on several VW diesel forums:

I haven't posted much because I used up most of the monthly internet in one day watching a pool stream...had no idea it used that much. So here is an update....Today I re-wired the entire photovoltaic system with 8-gauge wires. I was getting an intermitant charge and it wasn't the controler, it was crap wiring. Memo to self (and others) always use beefy wires!
We are in Parker Az. on the way to South Lake Tahoe for the summer, Fallen Leaf Lake Campground to be exact. Look it up online...it is VERY beautiful! 5 months of free rent, free electricity and 2 full-time jobs. I have lots of project plans for the rig while parked there.
As for now...it is nice parking at a casino right on the Colorado River ...tomorrow will be a full solar charge day....dinner is soon and a shower might be in the cards tonight too..all in all life is good! :)
