Too bad he's not allowing "harvesting" in that garden, I wouldn't mind that ripe little number on the left in image 1, heh. (What's he growing with 'em anyway...rust?)

Dusty, love the 40's model Chevy in the 2nd photo... I've found several similar here in Colo. I've been tempted to buy, to match my 46 Chevy bus ... am holding out for a 46 Chevy panel truck to tow behind ...
Thanks for the picks ... GoodClue

I sold a '46 and a '47 Chev 1.5 ton truck a while back, both were running trucks. Hated to do it, but always seem to need money when I have something I would really like to keep for myself! The stock 216CI 6-cyl engines are a little weak, a better choice is a 235CI 6-cyl out of a later truck.

Seems like folks who have lots of nice old trucks or buses never want to sell them, but aren't going to use them either!

I think they secretly like to torment some of us other folks!

Dusty's bus

Yeah, so many cute little buses tucked away up here, mostly old skoolies, but with TONS of potential! Quite a few old trucks too, this area was logging based for a lot of years

:!: :!: :!: I just had an idea-another source of potential projects would be a logging company in bankruptcy!!!!. That's what happened here, a bunch of the smaller companies put all their trucks, buses and misc. machinery on one big lot and they were auctioned off.

Keep an eye on bankruptcy sale notices in the paper, and for big trucks, a big farm gone bust or even Govt. Surplus sales might have something.

just because you ride the bus , it doesnt make you a bus person
the bus stopped and i got on and thats how it all began

Back on topic ,

I spent the last week at Canterbury Faire http://sg.sca.org.nz/cf/

First time ever for me to do a week long costume party, there are some seriously dedicated participants .

Its all about reliving the good bits of the middle ages. Chivalry, honour, etc etc , Milord, Milady etc .

Knights being very polite to each other , just before they have a go with the sword, LOL. Theatrical drama abounds.

It was lots of fun , I dont think I have ever laughed so long for ever.

pics coming

One of the encampments, they had a trebuchet in there , for protecting the fort.

Image

Despite the armor, this is a serious hit, see the energy the fighter in the green is putting into the blow.

Headache material.
Image

Not all encampments were the same , this is the admirals pirate ship

Another mighty blow about to be delivered.

Atmosphere
Image

One of the Ladys graciously allowed me to take a pic inside one of the grand tents.

More atmosphere , people gathered to watch the live target archers.

Keeping this on topic , here's the bus tucked away in a leafy glade. 8)

Very cool, Dusy! Looks like so much fun. I have always wanted to go to a renaissance fair or such. I sew costumes for people for them but have never been to one.

Very good, M'lord. This knave especially appreciates the authentic Hankook wagon wheels in the first woodcut.
