licenses for rolling homes

Howdy,

Do most bus owners in WA and OR have CDL licenses? Or are you able to talk your way out of tickets using the Recreation Vehicle argument? I'm just getting into the game, and I am wondering how much time I need to spend at the DMV.

Hi There , My info on Washington State is that you need no special license if the bus is titled as a motor home. I have a CDL so I don't worry about it. A quick call to the DMV of your friendly WSP will give you the answer for sure. REMEMBER, you are not inquiring about a bus, you are inquiring about a MOTOR HOME. The trick is to title it as a MH. This easy to do in Wa. State.
