To me what this looks like is a Jaguar saloon (sedan) with a homemade Morris Traveler station wagon grafted on the backside. The reason I say homemade is this. The side and back aluminum panels look to be from a Morris. The roof as well as the backside woodwork do not. The side curved woodwork had to be made to fit to the Jag. As well the back door hinges are not what what a Morris Traveler was equipped with. Even so, this is a very unique ride.

So what you are saying is that it appears to be almost, but not quite totally unlike something else?

All it needs is a pop-up top and they would be ready for some serious camping and traveling!

Looks like something else to me.

I have always wanted the 1959 Cadillac hearse used by Bud Cort in "Harold and Maude" (movie). Or better yet, the Jaguar conversion hearse that replaced it!!

Harold and Maude? You're showing your age! Good movie, by the way.

I thought I had already been upfront about that. I am old. Also like Heavy Metal, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Brewster McCloud, A Boy and His Dog, and The Professional.

And probably others, if I could just remember through the "Old-timers" haze.

The "stolen" comments reminded me of something I was told about 25 years ago. I had gone to work as a machinist in a combination machine shop/ precision sheet-metal shop, and a well-experienced older sheet-metal guy was teaching me a little about the sheet-metal side of the work. He was setting up a brake and went to his toolbox to get a small precision square. He hunted here and there, couldn't find the square, then said, "Looks like somebody stole it, that makes twice that thing's been stolen".
