The picture was taken by my friend Greg at the Oregon Country Fair sometime in the late 1970's or early 80's. At one time, the OCF was the best place to see buses and trucks, but these days, camping in the parking lots is actively discouraged, so few people bother to bring them any more. Also, many former bus dwellers have sucessful careers and have made enough money that they are traveling in Lexus and staying in upscale hotels instead of flopping in a converted bus in the parking lot.
Do you suppose that it has two aircooled engines?

It's the topic that won't go away!!!
Here's some photos that came in via email.
The bus belongs to Lynn, who is a graphics artist, Hillbilly Dali Lama & Design Guru and has the back of a 1960 Chevy station wagon grafted onto it.
Shades of Von Dutch, the flying eyeball!! Lynn is unsure of the exact year of the bus, anyone want to give a guess based on the grille, hood, and fenders?
Here's a plug for Lynn's web site, where you can find more examples of his art and projects (but no additional photos of the bus ... yet)

Lynn wrote:I repainted the bus to keep the old character. We have done this a lot for movie sets & restaurants. I use it as design studio/conference room & guest house.
