A lot of the large class 'A' motorhomes the vintage of that Foretravel were built on a chassis supplied by Gillig.
You can usually tell if they have a rear engine and have full size 10-hole Budd wheels.
Most everything else of that vintage were built on the GM P-series chassis like the Airstream motorhomes.

It's a '79 CF Bedford and it turns up at many places I frequent.
Complete with a top quality 80watt BP Solar panel and kayak attached to the innovative roofrack, it's a go anywhere, within reason, home for its delighted owner...

I don't have picture to submit, but my friend Rob has an old GMC Fleury-(no export-all Canadian)
Essentially its a one ton Chevy 350 Chassis, coachwork by Fleury, 19 ft bumper to bumper, used to sleep 6 before someone took out the rear fold up bunk over the table.
Roomier now though--and here I go again, I'm going to try to have him revamp it--at least I've got him to the point where he says he'll spend a day off trying to get it to run, it turns over, but no fuel--gas tank problem.
If he can run it off a big boat fuel can, he can get it into his step-mom's shop to work on it.
I told him to take a picture when he gets around to washing it

The current bid is $38,100, and the reserve has not been met yet.
Here is the description and a lot of photos.
1949 Flxible Clipper "Starliner" motorhome conversion. "RestoMod" restoration with contemporary drive train and equipment. Approximately 750 miles since completion.
New GM Crate Ramjet 502 engine with custom ceramic coated header exhaust system with electric "cut outs". New Allison automatic transmission. New 5.29REB Differential.
New power steering. Air Brake system rebuilt. Rebuilt suspension with new front and rear leaf springs. New fuel tanks.
New plumbing, fixtures, refrigerator, hot water heater and gas lines. New Honda generator with remote controls. Shore Power connection and cord.
New batteries and Xantrex 2500W inverter/charger. New 12v and 110v wiring, breaker and control panels. 2 new Carrier AirV heat/ac units.
