Update-1965 Mercedes Benz Cargo van

Post by yugogypsy »

"Mercy" got a new floor yesterday after waiting over 9 years. The weather was great so we hauled everything out and Rick fixed the floor--HURRAY!!!

Today we are going to clean out the greenhouse and tidy out Pit Stop because IT'S RAINING

I wanted to get more done on the weekend, but Rick was busy.

Dusty, my van is a Transporter, and I still need some method of fixing the door.

I'll take a few close-up pics and IF I can get someone to post them you'll see what I mean.

Take Care everyone--next update to Mercy is a new roof cover and we're going to replace a skylight.

HUGS

Hi Lois

Good to "hear" from you. I think you can probably get a picture up here somehow. <g>

Sounds like a crowd up there - Dusty, Mercy, Pit Stop, Lois, Rick.... <G>

No new pictures to post just now, but lots of off-topic news!!! :)

My Mum had 4 kids before me-and never told me. I found out about 3 after she died, the 4th was illegitimate, but that one's daughter made contact with me last month and came to see me last weekend.

So gang I have 3 nieces and 2 nephews so far, and 4 great-nieces!!!

When the adoption reunion registry finds the rest, heaven knows how many I'll have, but that's the count for now.

If we want to take a family trip I'll have to get a big bus! :D

Cheers

Yup, Family is great, just had a Facebook message from my nephew.

Busy today, clean up the greenhouse and store everything in Mercy until Spring.

Found 2 more planters to use on Pit Stop next year, so she will have a tri-level front garden, just have to fence it to keep my horse and the deer out

Bad garden year, deer, slugs, rabbits and earwigs.

Rick can pick the corn, I detest earwigs

Mercy sure looks better with her new floor and is far more functional as a storage unit with a floor.

Pit Stop looks like someone threw a clutter bomb into her, have to get Rick to work on that tomorrow. NO MORE CLUTTER.

Woodshed is nearly tidy, lumber piles are getting better and the house looks like a bomb hit it too as we get ready to re-wire, yeah we're still at it.

Rick's had so much work that we haven't got much done yet. But we'll keep working at it.

Hope everyone is well.

Take Care

Golly, Lois

That family thing is just amazing (to me anyway). Seems it would be kinda like the world just exploded and got real big(ger)! But you seem to take it in stride no problem - must be a woman thing. <G>

Good to hear you. Glad Rick has lotsa work. Right now lotsa work sounds like a Good Thing.

Thanks Headache,
Rick is SUPPOSED :banghead: to build me a roof prop today--if I SCREAM at him enough times.

I've only told him to fix it SIX times already! :(

You spend way more energy than I would. If I came close to having to scream it he isn't worth it. That's how I roll, lol.

After more screaming, Mercy finally has a roof prop.

Headache-Rick is 56 going on 14 from 25 years in a mobile commune that tried every drug and mushroom that came along.

He isn't worth my time, but unfortunately we have a daughter that binds us together (biggest mistake I ever made)

The guy who is worth EVERYTHING to me is trying to untangle himself from a nasty she-devil so we can be together within 2 years and I can throw Rick out.

I think it may be sooner than that, things are going well for us even though we live 120 miles apart.

His hag finally launched her internet business and I HOPE that when she starts making money she'll declare him redundant because he's carrying the majority of their bills, including a  $2300.00 a month mortgage. Also they really don't get along any more and are holding it together for their youngest, who graduates high school in 2 years.

Plus the fact he wants to be with me & NOT her :D and after 35 years of caring for each other and having life get in the way, it's our turn.

We are going to build housetrucks and tiny houses. Have our own business and live the way we've wanted to all these years.

Oh LOL I'd better get off this soap opera stuff.

Mercy is getting more work today and so is Pit Stop, plus I need to do more housework and wrap a present to mail to my great nieces.

Have a great day!

A green tarp roof today to remove too much weight which was causing the roof to sag. The old girl is doing good! :)
