Too much time, too much $$$ and no sense

Post by Mark R. Obtinario »

Here is a link to a really nice conversion.

I would hate to know how much time and $$$ he has spent creating his Buck Rogers motorhome.

I think time and $$$ and most other practicalities disappear for an artist in overdrive...

I think it's fantastic.
I applaud this individual for being just that, an individual with imagination and skill in designing and building such a creation.
It's wonderful that we are not all the same!

I'm not an art deco type but I do wish they had a descriptive build thread. I'd love to know some of the techniques they use.

While I don't think his creation is practical for much of anything I do think it is quite the conversation piece.

So, I would disagree with Lois.

Sometimes the off the wall creations are just highlighting our differences.

Ridiculous is food for the soul!!

Not practical at all, but would be very cool to drive around town in.

OKay gang,

It's cool, but it looks funny, would definitely turn heads if you took it for a drive, but how practical would it be?

I'm a very practical person

Not at all practical! (I'm not bashing or arguing with you at all - I just like off-the-wall s*** like that. A lot.)

I have always liked this for some reason, and have always wanted to build a house based on the concept. Probably won't happen at this late date, but still fun to dream about.

There was a crooked man, and he walked a crooked mile.
He found a crooked sixpence against a crooked stile.
He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse,
And they all lived together in a little crooked house.

These are for kids, but a scaled up adult sized in similar idea would be fun. (The page has a slide show.)

Wow- fantastic. I'd roll around in that. After having spent 2.5 years living in a small transit van to me that looks big enough. You would just have to learn to live with less and make sure every thing you own is tapered.... :)

What a boring world it would be if we didn't have people creating things like that eh?
